Amy King, CEO of Nested Strategies, is a personal brand strategist, coach, and dot connector who helps people catalyze their personal and company brands by honing their voice and telling their story. She has over 20 years of advertising, communications and marketing experience in the private and nonprofit sectors, with an emphasis on sustainable practices and storytelling for impact.
Amy has a knack for helping people navigate their personal branding journey so they feel secure, understood, and valued. Her strategic thinking and ability to connect all of the dots between brand, culture and communications has made her an invaluable asset to entrepreneurs and CEOs alike.
Most recently, she worked for U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), one of the most progressive sustainability change agents, where she launched the USGBC Leadership Institute, spearheaded the consulting support for the USGBC chapter organizations.
Amy is passionate about music, film, traveling, and shaping the future of work. She resides in Dallas, TX with her fiance, stepson, three mutts, eleven backyard chickens, and some stressed honeybees who need our help.

Kristi Tisdale – Consultant, Marketing Strategy
A trailblazer in brokerage and product development in the organic food industry, Kristi has successfully forged a strategic communications, marketing and sales career across multiple industries ranging from on-air broadcasting to home restoration.
Bringing a holistic approach to business management, Kristi’s personal mission to drive global food systems change on all levels.
Kristi grew up outdoors in Louisiana where family life instilled in her a fiercely independent spirit, an unflappable work ethic and a deep respect for nature. Living in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, Kristi realized an innate need to help people understand how climate change issues affect life as we know it. She engaged in community rebuilding after the storm and now champions causes to build sustainable food systems resilience during drastic climate related events.
Her New Orleanian passion for all things food and music, her humor and optimism help change hearts and minds.
Kristi completed her undergraduate degree and work towards a Master of Mass Communication (emphasis on political advertising) at Louisiana State University. In 2015, she received a Master of Business Administration in Sustainable Business Management from Antioch University New England.
Based in the Washington, D.C. metro area, Kristi recharges her batteries hiking and camping in the Shenandoah Valley with her finance and two rescue dogs.

Lexi and Watson are part of the Nested family. They were both rescue pups from Dallas-based Angie’s Friends. You can often find them at Amy’s fiance’s architecture studio making difficult design decisions and strategizing in their sleep.
